Bring an appetizer to share!
The Passionate Mommy Party featuring my sister's jewelry was so successful that the women who attended asked for another. So, come and enjoy another beautiful menu of food and get great prices on really nice necklaces and earings. Good Christmas shopping or just you shopping. Tempting Menu of a Mediterranean theme: See you there? I hope so!
Meet the New Owners
Summer Price CMT
Summer graduated from Dove Star Holistic School for Practitioners in Plymouth MA. In May of 2002 Summer moved from Cape Cod to Brattleboro and began working for Ra Van Dyke at Able Body Massage. A year and a half later she bought the nine year old Brattleboro business. She spent two years working out of Solar Hill with Denise Stevens PT. Able Body then moved to 1037 Western Ave. and became a cooperative of seven female practitioners. After two and a half years at this location she is thrilled to find a new but permanent home for her practice. She specializes in deep tissue, Swedish, and hot stone therapy. She enjoys integrating shiatsu style stretches into her massage. Summer is knowledgeable regarding client pathology because prior to her massage therapy career she worked as a licensed nurse assistant for eight years. She has a long history of working alongside physical therapists and other medical professionals. Presently she refers all of her clients in need of assessment to Denise Stevens PT.
Stephanie Walton CMT
Stephanie graduated 2 years ago from Stillpoint Massage School in Greenfield, MA where she focused on deep tissue massage, myofascial release, prenatal massage and slow passive joint movement. She also practices hydrotherapy; incorporating temperature and moisture into the massage. She makes her own aromatherapy seed packs and integrates hydroculator pads and cold packs as needed. She offers ear candling as part of her services. She is seeking additional training in ayurvedic massage practices and to continue her study of prenatal massage. Stephanie also offers the Bright White Tooth Whitening System (at an affordable price).
Other Staff and Services
Able Body Wellness Center hosts other practitioners who will be offering services at the location on Middle Rd. in Dummerston. Other practitioners include herbalist Susan Stanton, and Mary Beth Kolver, a provider of a form of bodywork called Rubenfeld Synergy.
Summer and Stephanie will be at the new location starting February 1. They will offer a 20% discount to clients from my practice starting January 1, 2008. You can learn more about them at http://www.ablebodywellness.com. I will be handing over my mailing list and my business phone will link to their phone for awhile. Please come and meet them. Stephanie and Summer plan to extend the warmest welcome to patrons of Dummerston Healing Arts. They hope that the land and space at 375 Middle Rd. will continue to be utilized and enjoyed by the community. They invite you to contact them with your ideas.
My Plans
I am moving to Charlottesville, VA in February to be closer to family. We are going to move into a "walkable neighborhood", a mixed use development called Belvedere. I will be starting up all my services under the name Belvedere Integrated Healing Arts. The neighborhood wants to offer nature-based programs and camps for children, and so I know I will feel at home. You can see more at http://www.belvedereneighborhood.com.
